NC Pre-K Application 26-27 School Year
Step 1 - Prepare
Read the online application instructions and the FAQ’s document (see PDF documents below) to prepare for completing the online application.
When you have all the required documents ready, submit your application online (see below) and upload the necessary documents.

Step 2 - Apply Online
North Carolina Pre-Kindergarten (NC Pre-K) is a state-funded, high-quality pre-kindergarten educational program designed to enhance school readiness and prepare four-year-olds for success in kindergarten.
To meet the age requirement, your child must be four on or before August 31, 2026 (birthday must be between September 1, 2021 - August 31, 2022; additional eligibility criteria must also be met.
If your child is already 4 years old, birthday between 9-1-20 thru 8-31-21 please email us for an application.

Complete this form if you do not have a utility bill in your name. You will need to obtain a copy of the utility bill for the person you are residing with and this person will need to sign this form to verify that you live in their household.
The utility bill you upload must be current (within 1 month). And the utility bill must match the address provided on your application.

Complete this form if someone in your household is not employed. All parents/guardians in the household, that are not working, must complete, sign & date.
Ex: Household consists of mom & stepdad. Mom works (so we need 1 month of paystubs). Stepdad is not employed (so we need the no-income form completed by stepdad ONLY).
