Research shows that high quality early care and education programs help children develop stronger language, pre-mathematical and social skills than those in lower quality settings. Smart Start Rowan works with local childcare centers, family childcare homes and church preschools to improve the quality of early learning environments. Supporting educational opportunities for childcare professionals is a priority. We provide TA to childcare facilities on a variety of topics to improve or maintain quality childcare environments. We work with new teachers, as well as seasoned teachers who may be looking for new teaching strategies or ideas. Directors also benefit from TA, as we are here to support your quality childcare program goals.

We offer a variety of Early Childhood related training topics, all approved for training credits or CEU's by the NC DCDEE. Trainings are offered at SSR in-person or virtually for a small fee.
