Smart Start Rowan partners with Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) to help. CCRC proudly provides child care referral services for families in Rowan County, offering support in English and Spanish through friendly, knowledgeable staff. The Child Care Navigators work with you to understand your needs and connect you with full‑time or part‑time care options across a variety of high‑quality settings.
We help families identify child care programs that fit their unique needs and assist income‑eligible families in accessing financial support to help cover the cost of care.

Child Care Options
There are many child care options in NC, and it can be difficult to know which is best for your family. The CCR&R Council has created a wonderful brochure that explains various child care options, licensing requirements, and information about choosing quality child care.
Child Care Licensing Information
The Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) is the regulatory agency that inspects and provides licenses' to child care programs. You can visit their website to complete a search on any licensed child care facility, including options to review licensing violations.
