Early Care & Education Program Lead

Smart Start Rowan, a local nonprofit, seeks a full time Early Care & Education Program Lead, whose primary responsibilities include assisting child care facilities in improving/maintaining quality, professional development support & trainings & assisting the child care resource & referral department with projects related to serving child care providers. Additionally, this position would serve as the program lead for our NC Pre-K quality maintenance efforts.

Must be proficient in classroom management & possess a keen understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for children ages 0-5. BS/BA in ECE or related field, knowledge of Star Rated License, licensing requirements, rating scales, classroom environments, ECE resources such as WAGE$, and exp. providing trainings, and technical assistance desired. A solid understanding of evidence-based/evidence informed practices on adult learning is essential. Must be eligible for a Level 11 Early Educator Certification and obtain the Technical Assistance Practitioner Endorsement. Must be a team player, self-motivated, detail oriented, w/ excellent communication, organization & interpersonal skills. A clean driving record and use of your personal vehicle required.
